Meet Jessie, your massage therapist in Athol
Work Well Massage is a one-therapist studio. Every appointment is with Jessie, a licensed massage therapist who has practiced since 2008.

In her words
Hi, I’m Jessie
I have been practicing massage therapy since 2008, and I am licensed by the State of Idaho (massage therapist license MAS-5034, under my full name, Jessica Carey). Work Well is my own studio, a private room in my home in Athol, and I built it so I could give each person on my table my full attention without a clock pushing the next client through the door.
Maybe you spend the day at a desk or behind the wheel. Maybe you work in the trades, on a ranch or on your feet through long hospital shifts, or you spend every free weekend skiing and hiking. Maybe you are expecting and your hips and lower back ache. Whatever brings you in, my job is to listen, work out a plan with you, and check in on pressure as we go.
Massage is physical work, and I take it seriously. I want you to leave able to turn your head further, sleep better that night, or get through your next shift with less pain in your back. If what you describe is beyond what massage can help, I will tell you so and suggest you see your doctor. And when you come back, I want to hear how the last session held up, so the next one can build on it.
I offer eight styles, from Swedish to barefoot Ashiatsu, and I blend them in most sessions. You can read about each one on the massage services page.

Why a one-therapist studio
Bigger spas rotate therapists and run every client through the same routine. A solo practice works differently.
-
She remembers you
Your old injury, the shoulder that tightens up every tax season, the pressure you like: Jessie carries it from one visit to the next, so you do not start from zero.
-
Progress you can track
Seeing the same therapist means she can tell if your lower back is better than last month and adjust the plan, instead of guessing.
-
No upsell at the table
One price covers every style, with hot stones and aromatherapy included. Nobody is paid to sell you extras. See the massage prices.
-
A quiet, private room
One client at a time means no waiting room full of strangers and no noise from the next room over.
Faith
Faith and how it shapes the work
Work Well Massage is a Christian-owned business. Jessie does not preach on the table, and you will not be asked about your beliefs. Her faith shows up in how she runs the practice.
Honesty
Prices are posted and the same for every style. If massage is not the right answer for what you describe, she will tell you, and suggest you talk to your doctor.
Respect and clear boundaries
You are draped throughout, you choose what you are comfortable with, and professional boundaries are kept every visit. The first visit guide explains how a session works.
Real care for the person on the table
That means listening, checking in on pressure, and remembering what you told her last time.
Everyone is welcome at Work Well, whatever your faith or none at all. Clients come from Athol, Spirit Lake, Sandpoint, Coeur d’Alene and beyond, and all of them get the same care.
How faith shows up
Not sermons. Habits.
- HonestyPosted prices, the same for every style, and a straight answer if massage is not right for you.
- RespectDraped throughout, your comfort level always, and clear professional boundaries.
- CareListening first, checking in on pressure, remembering what you said last time.
- WelcomeEveryone is welcome, whatever your faith or none at all.
The studio
A private studio in Athol
The studio is a private, in-home room at 3125 E Briar Ct in Athol, Idaho, between Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint. It is quiet, and because Jessie is the only therapist, it is just the two of you. All massage happens here; Work Well does not offer mobile or in-home visits.
Most clients drive in from nearby towns: Spirit Lake is about 12 minutes away, Hayden about 19 and Coeur d’Alene about 31. The contact and directions page has the address, hours and the best way to reach Jessie. Saturdays are by appointment, so call or text to ask. Never had a massage? The first visit guide walks through what happens from the moment you arrive.
